During the time he was exploring the Florida coast, Ponce met White Owl, the old and wise Seminole Medicine Man. White Owl gave him a map to the Fountain of Youth, where Ponce was wounded from a stray arrow. White Owl treated his wound with the magical waters and then gave him a very special gift, a time traveling ticket. For the ticket to be used, Ponce’s name would have to be spoken by a special gifted person.
